The low point of his life spanned from 2011 through early 2014. During this period he did many stupid and immature things that drastically damaged his reputation. November 1, 2011 marked the first major publicly known event of his downfall. Mariah Yeater, A 20-year-old woman from California, accused Bieber of being the father of her child. She claimed to have had a sexual encounter with him after his October 25, 2010 concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles. He denied the claim and was proven right by a DNA test a few weeks later clearing the case. Following this there were several minor events such as driving tickets and scuffles with paparazzo. On March 4, 2013 Justin Bieber showed up more than two hours late for his concert in Dubai. According to sources he locked himself in his dressing room playing computer games following an argument with members of his management. This left thousands of fans in tears and some eventually leaving and not seeing any of the concert. This certainly is not the only time Bieber has been late to a concert though. Just four months later on July 10, 2013: A videotape surfaced of Bieber peeing in a restaurant mop bucket in New York. As he ran off he sprayed a photograph of Bill Clinton with a bottle of blue liquid and yelled, "F--- Bill Clinton!" No charges were filed and he later apologized via Twitter. Early in the next year on Jan. 23, 2014 Bieber was arrested on DUI and drag racing charges in Miami. Bieber and Khalil were drag-racing Lamborghinis at over thirty miles per hour over the speed limit in a residential area shortly after 4 a.m. A judge later set Bieber's bail at $2,500. Comedian Seth Rogen says, “In my opinion, Justin Bieber is a piece of s---. He seems like he’s obnoxious and ungrateful, insincere, and he puts people’s lives at danger and overall he acts like a piece of s---.” From 2011 to early 2014 Justin Bieber has displayed the qualities of

Society notoriously places pressure on all aspects of life, and pressure to conform to and uphold a reputation is no exception. Many people also naturally want to obtain authority and exert power over others, which often leads to negative outcomes when they try to conform to and uphold a reputation while maintaining their authority. In Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and Katherine Howe’s Conversion, a classic telling of the Salem witch trials parallels a modern day story of a group of girls affected by a mystery illness when members from both communities struggle with attaining authority and power while also upholding their reputations. The Crucible takes place in Salem, Massachusetts during the 1600s when there was a distinctly Puritan culture…

The definition of crucible is a ceramic or metal container in which metals or other substances may be melted or subjected to very high temperatures. This definition can relate to the play The Crucible, by Arthur Miller because the court can be thought of as the heat in which is melting the metal, but for the play it means that the court is causing tension in the town of Salem. Like the change of the metal, going from solid to liquid, many people either go through changes or try to make others change in the play; some of the most remembered for the changes are John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor, and Abigail Williams. John and Elizabeth both change themselves through the play, but Williams tries to change those around her.…
