McFarland USA and Taking Sides
Taking Sides and McFarland U.S.A. There were many differences between the two, though there were also some similarities. In Taking Sides Lincoln moved from a poor, brown neighborhood to a rich white neighborhood. While in McFarland USA, coach white moved from a rich white neighborhood into a poor brown neighborhood. Secondly, another difference is the sports they are about. In McFarland USA, coach white was coaching cross-country. While in Taking Sides, the focus for Lincoln was playing basketball. A similarity they had was that they both taught valuable lessons about life, and not to let things get in your way and keep going. In conclusion I thought both Taking Sides and McFarland USA were great.
