The evidence for miracles is outdated and might not be trustworthy. Given that this is the only evidence for miracles, it is important to examine. Most accounts for miracles were seen by a very small amount of people (Lady of Guadeloupe), and it is easy for a small number of people to be deceived or come to the wrong conclusion regarding an event that occurred. These groups of people were also often untrustworthy (sighting by peasant kids and uneducated peasant shepherds), furthering the skepticism behind whether the evidence for miracles is accurate. This is a large part of why I do not believe that the laws of nature can, or have, be broken.…

He dreamt and longed to be popular and well liked because why else would he lie to his family and Charley that he is popular. He told his boys that he had met the mayor and how the cops protected his car like their own, but he is wrong to go after this dream of popularity since in reality he is not liked at all. He told Linda that “people don’t seem to take”[pg.28] to him, they “laugh”[pg.28] at him and he is “not noticed”[pg.28]. In his essay, Shame, Guilt, Empathy, and the Search for Identity in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, Fred Ribkoff describes how the play, Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller, “dramatizes the way in which feelings of shame shape an individual’s sense of identity” (Ribkoff 121). The play’s protagonist, Willy Loman, has a distorted sense of himself. His true sense of identity is buried under many layers of denial and fanciful lies. Willy is aware of his shortcomings, yet due to the shame that they cause him to feel, he suppresses his awareness, resulting in his tragic inability to accept the harsh reality of his life as a whole. It often appears as if Willy is unaware of his own shortcomings, both to the other characters in the play and…
