Short Term and Long Term goals Short term and long term goals are goals that are set by an individual to help him/herself achieve success in life. Setting goals can be difficult and most of the time are different for everyone. The goals a person makes are often based on their background, capabilities and character. Two characteristics that I believe are essential in setting admirable goals are integrity and determination. A long term goal is something that is sought out to be achieved in your later years. My long term goals consist of: graduating from Blinn Junior College within the top 10%, attending Texas A&M, Graduating with a degree in animal science, buying a car on my own, owning a veterinarian's office and taking care of my family. By setting and achieving my short term goals, I can hope to achieve my long term goals as well. Going to college, for me, is an experience that not many people choose to take. I desire to go to college because I see it as a pathway to a steady life. I’m not saying college will be easy, although I am saying it will be worth it. College is going to be difficult but, if you have the determination and willingness to achieve such a hard task, then you will succeed. People can attend college for many different reasons. I hope to attend college to become a veterinarian. This has been a thought of mine since I was in the fourth grade. Taking care of animals is my specialty. I adore animals and I believe they have feeling just like humans. They feel pain, reject, hurt and love the same way we do. It’s important to me that every animal gets the care and attention they
