In the book Sophie’s World, she learns about how history is important and purposeful, that everything we do along with every choice we make changes the future. History is a story that leads us to the present. So the first idea I will talk about in my paper is Sophie’s story, and how philosophy affected her life.
The novel, Sophie’s World is about a girl who in the beginning was just a normal, average fourteen-year-old. Then one day Sophie arrived home from school, after checking her mailbox she discovers a letter that says only her name on it, but has no stamp. The letter changed her life. Sophie continued to receive letters, one night she saw the mysterious man deliver her letter in the middle of the night. The next morning, Sophie woke up and found a scarf next to her, she had no idea where it came from or how it got there. That same day, Sophie found another letter next to her tin full of letters. This letter basically explained how the mysterious man, (Alberto Knox) now would deliver her letters into her secret hiding area near the garden. …show more content…

She had to lie to her mom and say that she was going to spend the night at Joanna’s house, so that could sneak out in the morning.
