This individualistic attitude has led the nation to isolationism and inhumane levels of capitalism, as well as creating stronger divides between more demographics in the country. All this is exasperated by the current United States president, with his anti-immigrant stance and his blatant disregard for non-white citizens. All of this has caused political unrest throughout the country and its many demographics. Because the country is diverse and vast in both geography and ideology, when the government wavers in meeting all of its peoples needs the people quickly turn to more radical thinking and practices.
