Life Well Lived Research Paper

It was Albert Einstein who said that the only way to live life was as though everything is a miracle. It is a miracle that I am able to walk from my bed and see the sunlight through my window. A life well lived is a life which has affected many other people in positive ways, but also a life in which dreams and goals are sought after with no fear or hesitation. A well lived life is also one that has been done with good intentions and positive perspectives. Life is weird. We can plan, and plan we do, but we cannot foresee unexpected events that do not fit into the schedule. It is important to live life with purpose and intention. There is a difference between living life and simply existing within its’ curious bounds. To exist in life is to do what only you must do. You wake up every morning and complete what you need to do in order to sustain your living situation and habits. People who exist are kind of like the American highway systems. Perhaps a life well lived is doing what causes dopamine and serotonin to surge in the frontal lobe, or to put it simply, what makes a person happy. The serial killer, who enjoys the murder or some aspect of it, believes he or she is doing what makes them feel happy. It is ethically and morally wrong to take the life of a person in most circumstances. However, as they sit, handcuffed and secured to a chair, waiting for their chosen demise, they undoubtedly believe it was a life well lived. The question of a life well lived depends on the perspective that we are seeing it from. Does a life well lived speak to how the person feels or what the person does for the people and world around them?
