What Is The Most Regretful Things In The Life Of Cole

Cole feels genuine regret for what he has done. He has felt regret towards Peter, towards everyone he has hurt. This has been shown because Cole has been apologetic towards Edwin and Garvey whenever he has annoyed them, but at the beginning of the book he didn’t care. When Edwin and Garvey threatened to take Cole back to Minneapolis, Cole was very apologetic and he wanted to stay. This proves that he is feeling regretful and wants to mend his ways. Before, he just thought it was a stupid island. Cole felt regret because of how many people he had hurt. The regret has been caused by pain, abuse, and loneliness he has experienced throughout his life. Cole has done many regretful things in his life. This is a result of his anger and loneliness.
