It showed us that genetic engineering had some very ugly consequences. I think we, as humans, do not really think about our actions as much as we should before we do them. This is a very hard habit to break because it has been happening in society for a very long time, and it has become second nature for us to live by the “do now, ask for forgiveness later” motto. We do things, and after it is too late, we try to clean up our mess. This movie was giving us a clear picture of a few examples of bad things that could possibly come with the furthering of genetic engineering and DNA modification, so that we could evaluate the situation better and prevent our world from becoming the society in “GATTACA.” If this was their objective, they definitely reached their goal for me. I definitely see that genetic engineering could cause many problems, and I hope that everybody else does
