Daytripper follows the life of Brás de Olivia Domingos, the son of famous Brazilian author. He is living in his father’s shadow, he dreams of becoming a famous author. Bras writes obituaries as a job. Each chapter is a moment in Bras’s life, early life to old age. However, each chapter ends with Bras’s death. I was disappointed when Bras dies in the last chapter. Moon and Ba could have answered why he dies and why would he suicide in the last chapter when he was told that he has more time to live. Daytripper is not worth reading because it has confusing flashbacks, sudden deaths are never clarified although the artwork is extraordinary, use of color to suggest moods.
