What Is The Message Of Patrick Henry Persuasive Speech

The speech by Patrick Henry was very persuasive and it makes me want to fight for the way. I was one of the delegates who was invited to the convention, which is where I witness the Patrick Henry’s speech about going to war with Great Britain and finally gain our independence. Within the room, I felt the passion of the people as Patrick Henry read his speech, but I also felt the anger of the ones who disagreed with the speech. As the speech was being read, I looked around and saw all the people in the room staring at Patrick Henry and witnessed the expressions upon people’s faces. I felt the speech move and persuade me to choose whether I think we should go to war with Great Britain. At the end of the speech, Patrick Henry yelled out “Give me liberty or give me death!” I felt the passion and the belief of others in the room. Once Patrick Henry yelled the final statements of his speech it helped me decide to go with Patrick Henry and go to war with Great Britain. Many people sacrificed their lives to gain the freedom we have now, and I think there are things to die for. Some things that are worth dying for is sacrificing yourselves for your loved ones and your country. Sacrificing yourself for your love ones shows that you care about that person and are willing to love your life, so they can live their lives and have a future. The things people die for affects other people’s lives by the individual not taking things for granted and they have another chance to live their life.
