There is no right or wrong answer to that question. We have used logic and reasoning to explain why and how things happen. The wish to understand that question is always present in our minds. We are constantly striving to search for the purpose and meaning of the things we do in our everyday lives. I believe we need reason and purpose in order to do anything, just how some need a reason or reasons to keep living, or their lives may become “meaningless”.

There are many different meanings to everyone, some enjoy the material things and others believe life revolves around the important things. Like I stated above, family and education. Before this topic was discussed and before I was in this philosophy course, I did not fully understand it, I did not give it much thought; it did not really matter to me. I did not think there was really any kind meaning to life, but after reading the materials given to us, it had me thinking of all the possibilities you could make happen. All the things going on in the world, bad and good, they all mean something to me and hopefully everyone. When I was younger I did not see the point in going to church, after the confusion of the things I have been taught about how god would watch over us and provide for us, yet death of close ones still occurred, but as I grew older, I realized that church is actually an important thing in my life.
