In book the Lord of the Flies the author Golding suggests that people are essentially sick corrupted by savage impulse and inherently evil. Civilization can only mask this dark reality, and never eliminate it. The human savage is covered just like how a woman has to put on makeup when she goes out. She never let other see how she actually looks, because she thinks she doesn’t looks well so she has to cover it up. Civilization is just the makeup for savagery of humans; it covers it so much that other people would never find out. Therefore all humans are savage but their just covered by civilization.

At that time it was time for the 800 meters to start the race and my best friend was part of the race. She was very confident that she will win the race because she is good at running and the competitors weren’t as good as she was. So she told us that after the race she will pay for whatever we buy from the snake store, but she will never forget what had happen after. When they started she was the first one but when she finished the first round she started to slow down to save energy for the final half. When she slowed down the others was catching up slowly, but there was one girl who was catching up very fast. By the time she reach up she stared at my friend for some seconds then she run in to her run way and pretend to bump into her, but she didn’t just bump into her she the pushes her down onto the ground. My friend didn’t know that just because of that push she didn’t ever get to run back the same speed as before. When she fell on the ground there was a stone just where her knee landed.
