We all come from somewhere, this is a fact. However, the journey we live through answers the question on do we belong there. Right now it is a weekend night at around 1:30 a.m. at my house you can hear the laughter, excitement yells of winning and the sweet smell of hot chocolate in the air. I am really proud to say that I come from a family who will always be there for each other even if it 's at 1 a.m. in the morning to 1 a.m. the next morning. My family is the gravity to my life and it is the thing that holds me together even if we 're apart. A little look at where I come and the environment I live will introduce you to a caring mother who has taught me to see the positive side of my life. For example, my sister and brother shaped me into a person who cares a lot about studies. They have shown me how essential education is in life through their experiences. Where if you look at my parents who have shaped me into respecting family and understand the importance of having family support in life. There are three age gaps in our family which are my parent time, sibling time and my time. The three age gap times are probably the hardest challenge that I faced because I often get confused on how to react and when to apply my modern or traditional values in situations. However, as the journey goes on, my family has shaped me into understanding both traditional and modern values and how to harmonize both of them. Traditional values consist of how to handle relationships and religion duties. Modern values consist of the principles of equality, hard work, and studies. Being able to live in a surrounding that has two values on life have given me a chance to capture the positives that I 'd like from both views and make them into beliefs and standards that I
