The plot of Romeo and Juliet is a love story that ends in tragedy but there is a deeper meaning if you look through the eyes of each character. The growth of the star-crossed lovers is very important to how the play turns out. Juliet is a young girl that will mature into womanhood in the end. Her innocence may be gone but she has developed new feelings and ways of life. Romeo may already be a confident young man but he will become a more complex character to flow. His emotions will be born anew when he meets Juliet, thus complicating the plot and deepening the story of these young lovers.
