In the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor, Cassie experiences bad things in Strawberry and this is one of them “I ain't nasty”by (Taylor p.106). The injustice that the people thought that just because they were black in skin color that they were unclean. Cassie does not really understand why white people are treating her the way they are. She thinks people are people and everyone should be treated the same and not differently. She doesn't understand the world
