My Transition From Homeschool To The Superior High School

1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story. When I look back at my life, it amazes me how one thing can have such an impact on my life, and I couldn’t be happier for it. I’m so grateful that my dad passed down his passion to me. I really couldn’t imagine all the enjoyment I would of missed out on without it. I don’t know where I would be if I decided to devote my time and energy to something else, but all I know is I have no regrets. It may seem surprising, but I have learned so much, and it has shaped my character and work ethic. In other word, it takes time for someone to make that full transition. Although some people are faced with quicker transitions than others, everyone goes through multiple experiences in their life to get where they are today. One transition that I faced, that challenged my growth the most is when I switched from homeschool to the Superior High School my 10th grade year. I had to make the decision of what actions I would take, and wouldn’t have my parents there to influence my decision. This may not seem like something that would be very difficult, but I come from a family that goes to church three times a week, and to keep my beliefs and what I know I need to be doing, can be a challenging thing. I am excited to say that I made many of the right decisions I needed to in order to be a responsible young adult, and to follow my beliefs as a christian.
