Vincent Brothers Death Penalty Essay

On July 6, 2003, a man, known as the Vincent E. Brothers killed his entire family after church one Sunday morning. At church, he heard a rumor that his wife Joanie Harper wanted a divorce when he received this news he became furious. When they came home from he was nowhere to be found by his family. His family then went on to do what they did every Sunday and that was to take a nap. After they fell asleep an armed man with a .22 caliber pistol intruded the house and went to the back room, then shot the grandmother at point blank range. The killer then carried on to the next room this room was the room that the mother was in she was shot 10 times and stabbed 12 times and right next to her was the 6-month-old baby he was shot in the back. The 2-year-old heard the noise and went to her mother 's room and witnessed the horrific seen the killer proceeded to kill her she was found at the foot of her mother 's bed. When the killer was finished he carried on into the 4-year-old boy 's room and shot him in the head multiple times. On May 15, 2007, Vincent Brothers the father and husband of the family was found guilty and was found guilty on five counts of first-degree murder. There are numerous reasons for capital punishment to be legal is it deters crime and provides future safety to our country, citizens, and all around life. Also, it is right in religious reasons we say we are one nation under God and in God 's eyes capital punishment or the death penalty is the proper punishment for not just murdering but many other crimes that we do not address with the death penalty. There are also many reasons for the death penalty to be banished from the states period. The reasons are life is sacred and it is against the Constitution of United States.
