This allows us to meet together and or protest. There is an important rule when it comes to protesting, it must be peaceful. The right and the rule are from The Massachusetts Bill of Rights, 1780, where it says “The people have a right in an orderly and peaceful manner to assembly…” they made this so the people could “consult upon the common good… and to. redress of the wrongs done them...” from The Massacutes Bill of Rights, 1780. The colonist were able to use their right to bare arms to their advantage to fight off Britain in the revolutionary war.
