I have clear knowledge about the setting where I work and its policies and procedures; I know my role, my duties, rights and responsibilities and I do my best every day.
I have carefully read the national curriculum and I guide my practice by it when I have to support lesson planning, doing and evaluating and to support numeracy and literacy, ITC, etc. I have studied a degree and a master before, so I have the knowledge to support all those areas of the curriculum; although I know I may have slight boundaries due to speak English as a second language (my ability of making and identifying some phonics sounds is not as good as that of a person who speaks English as first language, for example.)

I am aware of safeguarding policies and procedures as well as the ones for recording and reporting incidents or concerns, I understand and believe in the importance of keeping children safe and I have always done my best to do so. I am aware of regulations and indications of how to safely use school materials.
I know about the benefits of team-work and how it is essential on some cases (such as school work and ensuring safety for children and young people.) As I have said before, I am respectful to other people (as I believe on respect as a necessary first step to human relationships) and I know how to value other people’s job; also I like to express my opinion and contribute on a positive manner.
Ten years ago I did a course to be an instructor of leisure time, there I learnt about the benefits of playing and how to use it to improve development and learning. Since then I have been working with children on different sites and with diverse roles but playing has always been a really important part of it.
