1) Meet with people for mutual encouragement. Meeting with others to help build them up and so that you too may also be encouraged in your faith is important. A Biblical life is not one that can be easily be lived in isolation but must instead be shared and enjoyed with others. In my life this looks like being involved in a small group of women, having individual friends I meet or check-in with on a weekly basis, and having a mentor. While these people and relationships change over time, it is important to be engaged with people who will encourage you and who you can in turn encourage.
2) Listen more than you speak. When interacting with others, it is important to listen to what they have to say. I often find myself planning what to say

This is an amazing way to let friends know that you value and appreciate them just for who they are not for what they do for you. It also allows time to be spent doing something you enjoy with someone you enjoy. One thing I do on a bi-weekly basis is go to swing dancing. I enjoy this, and it also provides opportunities for me to connect with and enjoy friends, while also providing the opportunity for me to meet new people. I also have been involved on a soccer team with people I work with. We created a time to have fun with each other outside of …show more content…
No matter how busy things are, it’s important to make sure I have a healthy balance in my physical life. This means taking time to prepare and eat healthy, consistent meals. It also means taking time to get check-ups or visit the doctor when needed and getting physical activity throughout the week by taking time to exercise.
2) Set aside a time of Sabbath. Taking time for spiritual rest is also important. Having time set aside to spend with God and focus on him needs to be a priority each day, but it also means creating a day of Sabbath in order to delight in and honor him. Putting aside things that need to be done and problems that can be consuming is extremely important. Instead I can focus on activities that bring joy and delight and foster a relationship with God.
3) Create margins within each day. Each day often feels like a puzzle, and it is necessary to fit in all the things that need to be done in just the right way so that everything gets accomplished. However, this often does not involve creating margins in the day to rest and enjoy the day. My time is spent trying to quickly get everything done and if there happens to be time leftover then something fun can be included. Creating margin can prevent burn-out and creates a healthier, more sustainable way of life. Each day should have time that is set aside that is not consumed by tasks

One of the major things I learned and realized is that prayer together like what we did is a powerful thing and can bring people together and encourage and help one another. It can be difficult to pray in front of others and especially about personal things going on in their lives. I just learned to trust others with my problems and request and that they could do the same thing. I don’t think I would have learned and grown as much if this was not a small group project. Small group and prayer are very important parts in the spiritual walk.…

Having a close relationship with God will help leaders understand what the Bible teaches us and how it applies to our life before we teach. If the word of God does not make any effect on our life, how do we pretend it would influence on other people’s life. One thing to remember, it is good to prepare, but leaders cannot dedicate so much time in preparing to preach that they forget about their family and marriages. The family is an important institution of God. Leaders should accommodate their time in such a way that they also can dedicate some quality time with their family members.…

It is not only applicable as I study the scriptures, but as I make decisions based on what I know and believe is right. I began to learn on my mission to live the gospel each day and I will continue to do this. I have begun to think more about my future as a husband and father recently. As I try to apply the teachings of prophets in the scriptures and in these latter days, I know I will be blessed and be prepared to become who God wants me to be. I find it hard to focus on God every day, but I know that as I more readily turn to Him things will improve.…

Learning about numerous methods of prayer and spirituality such as praying, encountering God, having images of God, meditation, journaling, showing gratitude, mindfulness, and studying scripture has influenced a more open attitude and positive approach on my own life. It has allowed me to grow steadily in getting to know my spiritual self and how to get closer to God. This course of teaching has also taught me that prayer is a concept that involves living my heart and spirit to the Lord. Whether I am in need of forgiveness, acceptance, love, or even just to give thanks, I know that God will appreciate my yearning to be with Him. When I open my mind and soul to God, I ask him to work through me in order to give me what I need and to help others in any way that I can.…

As children of God, we do not know what anyone, especially leaders of Christ, may be going through in life; therefore, it is important that we pray for one another. I coach at an event organised by my local soccer club called ‘Fun Football’ and I love it. Some players have a lot of potential even at a very young age which is great to see. I also volunteer to help out at local summer camps for children. I feel that this is a great way to keep children active while at the same time allowing them to socialise. I believe that this is important for these children as unfortunately they often forget about keeping active as a result of the increased technologies that surround them.…

Much to my surprise, keeping the time log was quite difficult. I tried to fill as many slots that I could in the morning (when I knew I had something for sure planned), but that was not many. It was just too difficult to drop what I was doing and record it (even though it only took at second). What it almost always boiled down to was me racking my brain at the end of the day to figure out what I had down and when I had done it. It was difficult for me to see any distinct patterns because every day is unique, but after looking closely at what I was doing at different times, I began to see patterns in my day to day behavior.…
