I have been an employee of Cleveland Clinic for almost three years by now. I believe that my patient care experience and my knowledge of Cleveland Clinic values and standards make me a good match to the culture of healthcare provided at the Cleveland clinic.
First, I understand how important is teamwork in patient care. There is different healthcare providers involved in everyday patient care, like nurses, doctors, respiratory therapist, dietitians, physician assistants and many more. The science of medicine is evolving and changing all the time. There is new treatments and care paths that we need to know and that can benefit our patients more. Therefore, we must further our education to benefit our patient by providing quality, evidenced based medical care.
I also understand the importance of being culturally competent. We leave in a country that have people coming from all over the word, and as a health care provider we will be working with patients with different cultural background. Therefore, it is very important to understand the diversity of the community that you are working in and be knowledgeable about different cultural traditions, practices and views.
