In general, I find myself in the “secretary role” which includes: following the instructions, organizing information as well as delegating people. I enjoy collecting and organizing information, which came into handy today when we were researching. As well, delegating people is a skill that I am particularly proud of as I find that by figuring out people’s strengths and delegating tasks based on those, you can produce a better result. Exposure to different group work opportunities will allow me to isolate those weaknesses. Another method that I think will help me is if I make a personal goal at the beginning of each group work session and keep that at the back of my mind as I do the activity. It doesn’t have to be a big goal, it could be something as small as volunteering to write a particular section that I may not be so comfortable with. In the end, I know that the personal goal will have stretched my comfort zone and from there, even if I fail, I can learn and grow from that
