As days began to drift by with no immediate end, I rebutted with a question. “When I say war, what do you think about?” He was hesitant, but he responded: Soldiers, enemy combatants, ships, tanks, Humvees, helicopters, jets, weapons, chemical weapons, the atom bomb, and death. I smiled, as if to say, that’s it.…

My casting for “Hunters in the Snow” would be, for the role of Frank Bailey Baker, for the role of Tub Maddie Rogers, and for the role of Kenny Maiah Thomas. I casted these people for this movie for various reasons, but mainly for the match in personality so it would be easy for them to play the role. I casted Bailey Baker for Frank because of her “follower” attitude. The character Frank is a very go with the flow guy, in the story he was very patient and understanding of why things went wrong. Frank could be insensitive to the other characters but in the end was a good listener and friend for Tub understanding his problems and apologizing.…

The Age of Discovery was a period of time for the Old World to claim their own parts of newly found territory in the west in search for personal gain. Countries like Spain, Portugal, France, and England competed for land that was already inhabited, doing anything they could to get what they desired. Resulting from the European dominance in trade, exploration, and colonization, the most significant consequence of the Age of Discovery was the lasting harsh treatment of Native American and African people and the destruction of their cultures. Opportunities for people and their countries opened with the discovery of new lands. Over everything, people desired to spread their own culture, gain riches, and become glorified.…

Techonlogy's Effect on the Past and the Future Ray Bradbury's story "A Sound of Thunder" is a stronger work of science fiction than Gloria Skurzynski's "Nethergrave" because it really shows that one mistake can make a huge impact on the future of the world, as well as the great characterization, some points made me feel like I was really in the story. I felt that Bradbury's story was more interesting than Skurzynski's story. It seemed that Bradbury's idea was that one small thing could change the future drastically , in this case in a negative way. In the story the characters use a time machine to travel to the late Jurassic Era. Eckels made a big mistake that cost him his life.…
