The best part of it all was that the coach sent him home for having such a poor attitude, and we continued practice. I am glad I kept my cool as long as I did, because this situation turned out to be ever in my favor.
Unfortunately, a few months into the season I caught mononucleosis. Benched for the season, I had to voluntarily hand this horrible teammate my playing time essentially. This ended up creating our resolution, though. This is also the disruption phase of Rummel’s model, too. I was forced to part ways due to a medical illness, so the conflict had no choice but to terminate. We did officially, however, come to terms by the end of the season, leaving no basis for future conflict.
Conclusion
There was much to learn from this conflict. It heavily tested my patience, ethics, and morals at one point; however, I am glad it turned out the way it did. In conclusion, I hope to use what I learned from this situation and use it to my advantage for any future conflicted situations in my
