He introduced himself as Romeo. As they danced, his movements felt in perfect sync with hers, and they glided across the floors through every song. Before she realized, his cool lips were brushing against hers, sending a shiver throughout her entire body. Soon, his teeth scratched her lip, drawing blood. After that, she pushed him away, and touched her fingers to her lip. His eyes were bright red. Juliet stared up at him, and whispered, “vampire,” before her aunt Nurse whisked her away.
Juliet couldn’t stop thinking of the vampire. The mere thought of spending eternity with him, revolted her and excited her at the same time. She decided to step out onto her balcony, in hopes that the cool air would clear her mind. She voiced her frustrations aloud, “oh Romeo, Romeo, why must you be undead.” Juliet then took a deep breath before continuing “if you cannot change back, you must convert me too.” Suddenly, she heard a rustling noise and froze. Romeo appeared out of nowhere, the moonlight sparkling against his snow-white skin.

“My movements are quick, like those of a predator. No human could ever catch me in the night,” replied Romeo.
Juliet, mesmerized by the sharp slant of his jawline, slowly whispered, “maybe I’ve fallen for you too quickly. I guess as a human, I will never compare to another child of the night.” She then lowered her head, incapable of meeting his glowing

The two star-crossed lovers in Romeo and Juliet appear to have a relationship that entails emotions that date back for years, when in the grand scheme of it all they were only together for a couple of weeks if not months. Their love was quick and all consuming, furthermore it is clear that the two characters predictable deaths can be attributed to their young love. Romeo and Juliet’s predictable deaths, however do prove to be fitting in terms of the themes of rashness and heedlessness of young love which are continuously presented throughout the story of the two lovers. Feuding noble families, the Montagues and the Capulets find themselves in a whirlwind when son and daughter of the two families fall deeply, into a fated romance.…

Shakespeare once said, “These violent delights have violent ends and in their triumph die, like fire and powder, which as they kiss consume” (Shakespeare, 1040). I chose this quote because I thought it went with the topic I picked. It means as if you rush into love and do without thinking it will end in a disaster. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet explores the tragic love of two teens from warring families. Amongst neglectful parents and horrific coincidences, readers have questioned the causes that lead up to the young couple’s deaths for years, whether they result from chance or choice.
