While reading The Raisin in the Sun and The Help, I noticed how things are so different when it comes to opposite races other than Caucasian. Today we still have problems with this, but it is not as bad. When I was reading these books the thought that kept recurring was how come we treated black diffrent because they are a different color but we didn't treat Indians, Chinese etc. different. They are just as different as African Americans. Around the time of bad segregation I feel that america's faith was more conserved. Now we have a more open thinking faith based religions. When someone grows up with a less conservative church history they aren't as racist towards different races. The majority of church going americans are not as racist
