The time period of the movie vs. the play was different. Because in the movie there was guns, police cars, helicopters, and radios in the car and televisions. But in the play there were horses, no radios in the car you had to sit in silence, and swords. The time period is not the same because the play made it sound like life was boring. But in the movie it made it sound like that life was not so boring in the time of age. The characters in the movie were different then you would expect. Because the Prince was dressed like a cop and drove a cop car. And Friar Lawrence was dressed more like a normal person rather than a priest.
