The two characters, Brian and Gregg, both contrast in characterization. First off Brian is a 13 year old boy, Gregg on the other hand is a 33 year old man. I believe that this is a very large change in these stories. Another big difference is that since brian is much younger he has less of a education. But Brian does still has a lot of knowledge. Gregg is much older which means he has much more knowledge. Gregg has his bachelor degree and has been hiking for 15 years so I think I can say he has some experience to. Gregg also has a first aid kit which he knows how to use. But one other thing is that brian seems more of a passive person and holds in his emotions. This leads to crying which slows him down. Gregg though is a very tough person.
