What Is The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is an unusual story, one of the most difficult and disturbing books a teen will ever see. this book is made about a time period that made a big dent in our nation. it tells you about how life used to be. how they were treated and how the jewish race almost ended. It all starts off, with a 9 year old boy named Bruno . Whose father had to move far away so that he can get this new job. so Bruno and his loved ones had to go with him. His big sister Gretel seems like it doesn’t even bother her, like older sisters everywhere, she's on her own as well. she doesn’t get a choice anyway, but we know she doesn’t want to leave for the same reasons as bruno. Their helpers are scared jews and Bruno's mother tries to tell them that its not just that he needs to do, it’s his job. So like bruno he has no choice as well. this part of the story was ok but could have been better. it started off kind of plain. it kind of makes you not want to keep reading. His father shows some but not much attention to Bruno. Although he is a military man, he is a strict disciplinarian. The boy tries his best to be happy for his dad. Even though, it sometimes involves saying and doing things he doesn’t ever need to know. So Bruno says goodbye to his old life and moves away …show more content…
It shows how low people can be. All humans do is build and destroy. we take and take and don’t care who we hurt. The boy in the striped pajamas just shows how we humans are willing to kill other humans just because of how they look or what religion they are. it also shows that, when we act that way we have have consequences. sp i guess what i'm saying is that because of stupid choices bruno was killed. we all know he should have listened but then again there should never have been a concentration camp . now to end this essay i have explained what and how this book makes me
