College Admissions Essay-Strive For A Healthier Lifestyle

As a sophomore in college, I strive for a healthier lifestyle. Primarily when it comes to staying in good shape, my diet has the greatest impact on my overall health. Every morning I start the day with a glass spring water or warm lemon water. Lemon has vitamin C packed with antioxidants that supports the immune system, detoxifies the liver, restores and repairs skin and most importantly helps aid digestion for the start of the day. Water in general keeps my body hydrated. I always carry a water bottle around to drink water throughout the day to help boost my concentration while in school. Eating breakfast is vital for energy during the day without feeling lethargic. Before eating I try my best to avoid eating too much even the healthiest foods by making sure I eat the proper serving size of each food …show more content…
In order to keep my life as peaceful as possible. I have a schedule of when I study, sleep and work. When I’m done scheduling, I set time aside for relaxing and hanging out with friends. Giving myself a break from a strenuous work load allows for me to not feel overwhelmed or stressed. I have learned that I cannot do everything all at once, but I can accomplish a lot more when taking the time to set goals throughout the year and rewarding myself for my hard work which ultimately makes for a positive attitude and a healthy mind.
As a result, ensuring good health is about taking responsibility for your mind, body and soul. In addition to my health regime, I make appointments to go see a doctor and dentist every year for a good physical development. Throughout my experience, I have learned persistence and self-control to make the right decisions when achieving good health. After all, being healthy is not about how many pounds I lose, its about gaining the necessities for living a longer and healthier life through eating right and exercising but also enjoying the challenge of staying in
