In Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare two prominent characters, Brutus and Marc-Antony, give a speech regarding the death of Caesar. Who was stabbed 23 times by his closest friends and followers. The people of Rome are in shock and very vulnerable to persuasion after this incident, and both Brutus and Marc-Antony try to convince them of their beliefs in order to gain power. Both men give persuasive speeches, but Marc-Antony's is more convincing and better uses pathos, ethos, and especially logos to persuade the people.
