Stereotyping exists when someone perceives a positive or negative opinion about a group of people who they distinguish as being different than they are based on their own beliefs. Some groups include, but are not limited to age, sex, race, religion, disability, as well as, a plethora more. Recruiters interviewing for an available position must be trained not to cloud their judgment during the selection process of a candidate based on their own opinions. For instance, a group of managers including myself interviewed a candidate last week for an employee event coordinator position, afterwards a manger spoke up and stated he noticed she seemed a bit nervous and her face became red when she was speaking, in which I respectfully responded just because
