With that, CAPTA became the paved way to the beginning of the stop of child abuse, neglect and maltreatment. “CAPTA was an important piece of legislation for many reasons. It proved an amazingly effective change agent using a relatively small amount of money by federal standards. CAPTA federalized the issue of child abuse and neglect by creating the National Center of Child Abuse and neglect (NCCAN).” (National 2014). This statement added an extra positive position on CAPTA effectiveness. In regards to CAPTA I feel as if the policy still has some flaws, they are fixable within the process of reauthorization and possible repeal of some mandated laws enforced in the realm of CPS …show more content…
Most people see the news everyday where they talk about many vulnerable populations and world problems, they have not ever said much about children’s social welfare endangerment. Media is one of our largest forms of advocacy seeing that media is found in forms of social media, news representation and even newspapers. As the years go by the world has become more involved with media in an everyday life situation. If forms of advocacy ads with educational information of the percentage of tax payer and world money used towards children welfare it may enact a need of change in we the peoples world perspective. Many are misinformed or mislead about information of such child welfare with the vulnerable population being child abuse, neglect and
