Sir Winston Churchill was prime minister between the years of 1940-1945 and 1951-1955. He led the British through WW2 and brought them victory and was also possibly the greatest public speaker of all time. Winston churchill used his political position to influence and affect the United Kingdom through his speech, journalism and using his defense contacts to better britain’s warfare. In order to win the war a ‘special relationship’ was formed between Prime Minister Churchill of Great Britain and President Roosevelt of the United States of America. Sir Winston Churchill knew that the support of the United States was critical in order for them to win the war as the US was seen as a powerhouse with their warfare.
