What Is Shakespeare's Legacy

Have you ever been on a mission? Well maybe you have, but is it one that will live on in history books for centuries to come? Shakespeare mission started off with just a pen and paper and became his legacy. What made him what we think of him today is his vividly known childhood, his many plays that were and still is astonishing, the history of the time period, as well as what many critics say made a huge impact in the theaters of London (“National”, pars. 2 and 8). Even though nobody knows much about Shakespeare's childhood and approximately 20 years of his life is a mystery, he will always be an open book. Born to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom, William Shakespeare was an incredible poet and playwright. He was the third born child with two older sisters and three younger brothers. He was baptized not but three days later at Holy Trinity Church. The 16th century was very harsh with no running water, only one bath annually, and only vegetables to eat except for special occasions. It was very hard times and the nobles cared only for themselves. Most of the 16th century was ruled by King Henry VIII who reigned from 1509-1547. He was most famously known for being married six time and starting the Protestant Era. Shakespeare was publicly Protestant but many believe he practiced Catholicism in private. This is due to the fact that if a servant of the king practiced Catholicism, they would be put to death. This influenced the idea and Shakespearean plays by having him not state any certain religion in any of his plays. To everybody now that would be hard due to the fact that religion shapes every single person in the world
