The art of exploration: The more the child tries to use different kinds of materials, the more they learn the art of exploration and experimentation. Self- directed Play gives opportunities for toddlers to use all their senses while playing which stimulates more learning in them.
Being creative: Every situation of Self-directed play is creative. Toddlers get to try out different roles of being a teacher, parent, dog, friend and many more. For every situation, the toddler must think creatively, critically and imagine how much of thinking is happening in just few hours of play.
