In today’s society people are classified in three different ways rich, middle class, or poor. And the picture I came across last week really opened my eyes and talk to myself I asked myself “rich or poor life is still life right”? The image showed a very wealthy persons house and also a very poor person supposed to be home, but at the bottom of both pictures were pictures of the same grave. They image symbolizes equality weather your rich or poor but no matter how much you stress that statement it would never completely come into effect, because it always someone that feels they are better than someone else. The questions that run through my head when I’d seen the picture was when a rich person dies where do they bury them? Well when a poor …show more content…
When you label someone as poor most people will accept it and rarely will they try to prove you wrong, I believe that’s a little before my generation. Maybe the reason why some people choose the wrong path in life is because the people surrounding them make them feel like they don’t have anything and sometimes they feel like they never will and have nothing to lose so they go out and do what they can to provide for themselves or their families such as, selling drugs, stealing, or killing. According to the US Census Bureau, “35.9 million people live below the poverty line in America, including 12.9 million children” (Siddiqui). In today’s world money brings power but that just a dumb way to think I totally disagree with that statement, because money doesn’t buy happiness, but that’s something we will talk about when I further discuss rich and poor …show more content…
“The rich don’t really think they’re rich. In a new survey, the vast majority of investors with $1 million in assets don’t consider themselves wealthy” (Brad Tuttle). It would feel good to wake up in the morning knowing that you can just go to the mall and spend without a budget. But, being rich is not all what it seems to be people that are rich still have the same minor issues as middle class and the poor. Remember money doesn’t bring’s

However, using the power of newfound technologies has led to the individual to be able to research, speak out, and unites with others to break free of the grasp of large corporations. Professor Tim Wu analyzes the growth of digital technology and the internet in, Father and Son, and he concludes that: “It may be true, today, that the individual holds more power than at any time in the past century”(Wu 556). Wu also realizes that if society is not changed now, then individuals will continue to lose power to make a difference when he says: “Whether or not he can hold on to it is another matter”(Wu 556). If you were wondering which society the question was referring to, Panem or the U.S., this draws a great point on the status of our own economic system. Using Immanuel Kant’s ethics, we see that everything the Capitol does to the districts is wrong, and provides a small piece of the wedge between the districts and the Capitol. Going by Kant…
