Sandra Bland was a 28-year-old female who was stopped at a traffic stop and then days later she died in jail. Police officer Brian Encinias pulled Bland over for a minor traffic stop before the altercation got physical. The Washington Post posted an article that said Encinias was reportedly heard saying “I’m going to yank you out of here,” Encinias said as the two struggled in the car. I’m going to drag you out of here… I will light you up! Encinias said while pointing the Taser at Bland. (Ohlheiser and Phillip 1)” This shows that Sandra Bland also faced the brutality that police have been showing against African Americans. This has been a big problem in America for centuries, all it has done is take a new form and is getting more exposure to the world but nobody seems to be doing anything about it. How can this be called the United States of America when we are all far from united, black lives do not matter in the eyes of the people and apparently neither do Muslims. We are all people and deserve to be treated that way so we can really all be united and live in
