I agree with you that Rachel Dolezal race is unknown until today. But I think in the future she will be proven white. I think that because of what her family is saying, and there is no reason for her family not to tell the truth because I don't thing they would benefit anything if they lied. Since she refused to take the DNA test I also think she might have did this to become more famous and help land a better Job because she would be considered a minority. And with her ancestors from multiple articles are listed as German and Czech heritage.
