Peer Mentoring is another student or an adult that can serve as a role model or a helping hand. The mentor, whose job is to encourage, support and inform students to better themselves, serves as an important individual for the youth in the community. A good mentor is familiar with the rules & procedures and can direct students to someone who can properly help fix a problem. Or if the mentor has enough experience with the situation, he/she is able to properly address that person's problem. There are many local mentoring programs also (Big Brothers Big Sisters). The programs match older children with younger ones for a one-on-one relationship to provide guidance. The mentors would need to provide advice & support and to serve as positive role
