Pat B. Allen emphasized on two ways of creating a stronger relationship with ourselves, imagination and colors. In the first chapter of the book, which is Knowing the Imagination, Pat B. Allen (1995) stated that “A relationship with our imagination is a relationship with our deepest self.” (p. 3). I felt personally attached to this sentence because I believe powerful enough to give me a sense of who I am and where do I stand, which create a deeper connection with myself. Imagination takes me to different and unique places. As a result of that, I find new passions in life and new ways to express myself in art.
