What Is Oprah A Brave Child

At an early age Oprah was a brave child. Oprah’s parents were unmarried and left her with her maternal grandmother. At age 6 she was sent to live with her mother at a very poor and dangerous neighborhood. Then at age 12 she was sent to live with her father in Nashville, Tennessee. While she was there she did speeches at a local gathering or at her church. At one of her speeches she made $500, and that was when she knew she wanted to be paid to talk. Oprah, again, was called back to live with her mom. The bad environment had effect on her though, she was sexually abused by men who her family had trusted. She had no supervision because her mom was never home. After a couple of troubled years her mom sent her back with her dad.
