The War on Nuclear Power Since the beginning of time, people have needed energy to stay alive. Even though back then it came in the form of food, now that times have changed so drastically, even objects that aren 't necessarily alive need energy too for a person to survive. As the price for fossil fuel continuously rises, we have turned to other solutions to get the energy we need in more sufficient and eco friendly ways, such as wind power, solar power and nuclear power. Unlike other clean energy resources, nuclear energy is not dependent on weather. In fact, according to world nuclear Association “Nuclear power plants can generate electricity continuously for months at a time, without any interruption.” That’s something solar and wind power cannot do, as its depends solely on the season and the weather. In a country controlled by unpredictability especially with weather, the need for a dependable resource is the answer to many problems. People can sit around and debate on the safety of nuclear power, but there seemingly isn’t anything that can overshadow it’s overall positive effects. Overall, nuclear power stands on the border between The United States greatest hopes and its biggest fears. What happens inside a nuclear power plant can bring such marvel into the eyes and lives of all people in America. Nuclear power is effective, and most definitely the most environmentally friendly way to produce the amount of energy that’s needed to have a comfortable lifestyle, it’s dependable and a safe and powerful way to support The United States and it’s demand in energy, and gives a healthy alternative to our dependency of fossil
