Captain Normanno and his team search for an intruder. Enrico appears and seems worried because his family is in danger. Only his sister, Lucia and Lord Arturo, Lucia’s bridegroom, can save his family. Enrico expresses his anger because Normanno finds out Lucia is concealing love for Edgardo di Ravenswood. Later, Normanno and his team find out the intruder as Edgardo. Enrico’s anger increases. Lucia waits for Edgardo, and tells Alisa that she has seen the ghost of a girl killed by Edgardo. Alisa warns her that she should give up her love for Edgardo. After when Edgardo enters, he tells that he should go to France immediately for the political reasons. Furthermore, he hopes to solve conflicts with Enrico and to marry Lucia, but Lucia
