As seen in “The Birthmark”, this story told the readers that everyone must learn to be satisfied with the existing state of affairs because the desires find nothing to feed. The desire will go on and on, which will not be satisfied as well. No one do need to pursue perfection without ignoring its original beauty. And “Young Goodman Brown” told the readers that everyone's life will experience a great impact on their own lives and bring everyone an inspiration, thinking, or even the changes of concept such as after returned from the forest, Goodman Brown was leaded to experience a night that would change his character forever. And the so-called devil or evil, in fact, exists in the life of human and do not need to guide the human also tend to "evil"
