What Is in My Patty?
Food is an everyday necessity, and it is fuel to the body because we need to eat in order to survive and live a healthy life. We need to eat different classes of food because we cannot survive on one class of food alone. We need to have the required percentage of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, water, iron, fat and oil, calcium, and much more. However, fast food restaurants have become rampant worldwide. For instance, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, and KFC are types of fast food places that are everywhere. Today, fast food can even be purchased in grocery stores such as Walmart. We all need to put something in our stomach after a long day at work or school. However, even though fast food is convenient, but it is not the best source for the daily nutrients we need. Fast food is low in nutritional values, unsafe, produces too much garbage, and it limits family value.
However, the most evident advantage of fast food is that it saves time. In today’s fast- paced life, there is nothing better than getting an already made meal. At the end of a hard- working day, when one returns home feeling tired and hungry, a slice of pizza or a burger can be a blessing. Besides the time an individual has to spend in the kitchen, cooking a meal also requires one to make a trip to the supermarket to buy ingredients for the meal.
