What Is My Greatest Accomplishment

Improved Essays
My greatest accomplishment is my graduation. Growing up was hard because of my lack of attention due to ADHD. The school curriculum wasn’t the best, causing me to learn at a decreased rate. The teachers did not care about the students, leaving hiccups in the source material that we were learning. The teachers had bad attitudes toward the school board which also ended up in the teachers becoming lazy, boring, and not compelling enough for the students. The area in which I lived in was did not help my ability to learn; with gun violence, murder, robberies, and sex offenders, limited my opportunity to be a part of a diverse, educated community. The one accomplishment that marked my transition from being a child into becoming an adult would have to be when I got my first job at Culver’s. This accomplishment was a major milestone in my life which lead to many other great things to follow it. After applying to many different places I finally got a call back from Culver’s saying that they would like to have me come in to have an interview with me. At first I was a nervous wreck, but with the help of some really good friends with some good tips on how to dress, talk, and answer some of their tougher questions. I really appreciated their help and if it weren't for them I probably wouldn't have got the job.…

I align myself with the youth of Baltimore City. Since enrolling in a Baltimore City Public School, I feel more connected to the rest of the city and the issues that affect young people daily. There is often times negative, and discriminatory image of us, which I admittedly used to have myself. During my young life, I thought those in public school were uniformly impoverished, aggressive, and, for lack of a better term, “ghetto.” I was insecure about my voice, my packed lunch, even my own safety when I entered high school.…

My most positive high school experience for me has to be when I was inducted into National Honor Society for my senior year. This was something that I has been striving to do since my freshman year after I received my first academic letter. But after our school decided to only allow seniors to be inducted, raised the GPA requirement, and reduced the amount of people that would be allowed to be inducted I wasn’t sure if my goal would still be attainable. But after three years of strenuous classes, constant volunteer service, and keeping my grades up I finally received an acceptance letter and was inducted into NHS where I am able to surround myself with others that have the same academic goals as…

One accomplishment I am most proud of is teaching myself to play the piano. Music has always been one of my favorite things in life. When I was younger, I would try to come up with song lyrics and was also interested in learning guitar. My dad played when he was younger but never played much after he had kids. I was fortunate enough one day to get a piano from a close family friend.…

Technology: Technology and technology-related skills will become more and more central to our lives each passing year. While our students are now using technology in all aspects of their lives, they also require more support than schools are currently capable of delivering. As one who has always been the "go-to" for staff who need technological help and support, my leadership role will be to help our school establish more effective uses of technology while simultaneously increasing levels of technology-related collaboration in the school. Building capacity for technological change is important for us to continuously improve. I am great at problem-solving technology issues and have used technologies like flipped-instruction videos, SMART Software, and SMART Response for formative assessments as a regular part of my instruction.…

My most valuable accomplishment was learning that less-lethal weapons are good thing when they are used to bring down dangerous suspects and protecting lives.…

My greatest personal accomplishment is losing over a hundred pounds by learning that my mental health and physical health was worth the effort. However, I did have control over how I dealt with the all of the stress. At the time, I chose food as my coping mechanism.…
