When I looked in the mirror, I began to feel flooded with emotions. There were several different thoughts running throughout my mind. For one, I felt thrilled to finally be able to graduate and start college. At the same time, this feeling of fear filled my mind as I came to the realization that my high school days were officially over and I would now have to assume more responsibility. I often think about the similarities and differences from my high school experiences and my brief experience in college. I have noticed that both high school and college allows students the freedom and opportunity to choose classes pertaining to our future career. College; however, differs in that it offers a wider variety of courses for a more diverse education and unlike high school, where you are learning from a book and notes, college educates us on real world experiences. A great example would be the global cultural events where you learn about other cultures, societies, and are able to see the world from a new, fresh

As my high school career is winding down, I take time to reflect on the last four years of my life. I think of how my attitude and personality has changed since the beginning of freshman year. I think of all the people I met and how they impacted my life. I think of the fun times, but also the hardships I endured. Most importantly, I think of what I learned-in my worst of times, when nothing has gone my way, God has a plan.…

Wise Money Choices + College Costs = Minimal Stress I cannot believe I have made it this far this quickly. It feels like just yesterday when I was accepting my diploma from Mr. Salvatore, my middle school principal and crying while hugging friends who I knew would be attending a different high school than I. Then, on that hot September day, walking through what I thought must have been the biggest school in the state of New Jersey, I got lost, made new friends, and college was but a dwarfed blip on my radar, far, far away from the center of my mind. Subsequently, in tenth grade, Union High School became smaller and my excitement for graduation was planted by the upperclassmen’s conversations about the upcoming prom and graduation.…

Between school, gymnastics, extra curricular activities, work, cheer, and many more activities I have to say I have been very busy throughout my high school years. Freshman year, I started off the first month of school on crutches, and the following two months in a boot.…
