My Adventure to Leeds One of my dreams and goals in life is to travel. I want to experience more, learn about other cultures and learn how others live their life. That is why I want to visit Leeds, United Kingdom. I am bringing my best friend of 15 years along with me, because it would just be wrong to go without her. We will be staying in Leeds for a week and we will be taking day trips to Manchester to see the museum among other things. We have a budget of 3,500 American dollars. We have all kinds of fun things planned from museums to visiting historical sites. I also included free days, because you can only plan so much. Free days are one of my favorites, because you are free to explore and do what you want without a time restraint. I find that sometimes being spontaneous is one of the best ways to travel. I could go to london and some other popular place, but I like go to go places people do not normally go to. I have a very diverse bucket list. Leeds is rather old so I want to see pieces of its history. One of them is, Kirkstall Abbey. I want to see it because I love old things, and I am so excited to these ruins. I love learning about the history of the places I visit. We also plan to go to …show more content…
It is important to have some planning involved, so that you can see more, rather than wasting time trying to figure out what you are going to do. Unfortunately money will always be a factor. I wanted a decent budget so I can enjoy my time there. I always overestimate when I travel, because you never know what is going to come up. As for the hotel it has never been important to be where I stay, I do not need a five star hotel to have a great vacation. I will not spend that much time in the hotel anyways. I choose this one because of its location, it is very close to the train station, museum, and the theatre. These charts will definitely help me on this great

I saw the dark clouds in the sky, but I didn’t expect the rain to come, because it was hot and muggy. This is because it was June of 2017. I went to the St Louis Art Museum and after attending I believe that I do have a better understanding of the artwork. All the art pieces were spread out through the art museum. They had spaces dedicated to old fashion, furniture sets and a site-specific art piece that Andy Goldsworthy did for the museum. They also at the time had a flower show being put together at the museum where one artwork would get to recreate a piece of work made out of flowers and you were really able to see how the flowers related to the artwork. There are plenty of resources available for attendees.…

Throughout the story, the desire to rise to a higher social standard is the driving motive behind the character’s actions. A main theme of the novel is how an individual can become distorted by their own thirst to climb up the social hierarchy.…

Just this past January, my business solicitor and second father, Hanson, did me a great service and obtained my allowance to attend Harrow. Harrow is a boarding school, which only has boys, which makes me very excited indeed, as I will have fellows with which I can roughhouse (The Byron Chronology). Today is my first day at Harrow and already I have a tutor by the name of Henry Dury. He is the son of the headmaster and I feel as though I am already making connections to the top. He is quite a dull man, though, and I have perhaps thought to call him Henry Dully as it seems more appropriate for his character.…

    Essay On The Guided Tour

    • 796 Words
    • 4 Pages

Guided and photographic tours are a form of participatory methods, used to give outsiders inside information about key locations, as well as understanding conflicting ‘emotional- phenomenological experiences’ (Bendiner-Viani 2005). A deductive approach was taken, with the participant being instructed to identify, and document ways that food was marketed and whether this influenced their desire to dine at that restaurant. The tour was in the form of a transect walk, thus it was systematic and pre-planned, spanning Ecclesall Road, from Hunters Bar to the city centre end. Ten restaurants along Ecclesall Road were used to observe marketing techniques, and how it can change. The premeditated restaurants of interest were chosen because of key features that made them stand out based upon the marketing, including using televisions, advertisement boards and photos in the windows.…
